Lewis Roca Partner Elected as Maricopa County Bar Association Board Member

PHOENIX (December 6, 2022) – Lewis Roca announced Nick Bauman has been elected as a board member of the Maricopa County Bar Association, the largest voluntary bar association in Arizona.

Bauman, a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, is a trial court litigator whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, including disputes within companies, breach of contract, business torts, breach of fiduciary duty and bankruptcy proceedings. He has experience in a variety of industries, including financial services, health care, real estate, and agriculture industries.

Active in the community, Bauman currently serves as a Board Member of the Federal Bar Association’s Phoenix Chapter and previously served as that organization’s President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. He is also a board member of the Arizona Equal Justice Foundation. Consistently recognized by his peers in the legal community, Bauman has been named as one of The Best Lawyers in America "Ones to Watch" in the area of commercial litigation for the past three years and as a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star for business litigation for the past three years. He was also recognized as one of Phoenix Business Journal’s “Valley’s Next Generation of Legal Leaders” in 2021.

Prior to joining the firm, Bauman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert M. Brutinel of the Arizona Supreme Court. During law school, he served as an Articles Editor for the Arizona Law Review and as an extern to the Honorable Peter J. Eckerstrom of the Arizona Court of Appeals. Bauman received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, Order of the Coif, and his B.A. from the University of Arizona.
