Lewis Roca Welcomes Fall 2024 Associate Class

PHOENIX (November 13, 2024) - Lewis Roca has welcomed eight newly admitted lawyers to four of its eight offices. John Bellipanni and Hannah Borowski have joined the firm’s Denver office, Madison Fox, Jack McCarthy, and Travis Reynolds have joined the Phoenix office, Zaydee Stemmons and Mackenzie Sullivan have joined the Las Vegas office, and Samantha Vanillo has joined the Reno office.

John Bellipanni, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, supports clients in a range of complex litigation matters while delivering effective legal solutions.

Before joining the firm, Bellipanni served as a legal assistant and lead intern with the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Centennial, Colo. In this role, he supported prosecutorial staff, filed motions, corresponded with investigative agencies, and handled clerical requests. He received his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and his B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Hannah Borowski is also a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, where she assists clients with complex litigation matters across all phases of the litigation process.

Prior to joining the firm, Borowski gained legal experience as an intern for the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and clerked for the Denver City Attorney’s Office. She also served as a legal intern with the Colorado Access to Justice Commission, advancing initiatives to improve access to justice for underserved communities. Borowski received her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and her B.A. from Ohio University.

Madison Fox, a member of the firm’s Business Transactions practice group, assists clients with real estate matters. Her experience includes drafting and reviewing key transactional documents such as purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, title policies, surveys, and closing-related documentation.

Before joining the firm, Fox was a judicial extern for U.S. District Court Judge Michael T. Liburdi and with the Arizona Supreme Court’s Government Affairs Group. She also served on the boards of the Corporate and Business Law Journal and the Women Law Students’ Association in law school. Fox received her J.D. from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and her B.S., summa cum laude, from Arizona State University Barrett, The Honors College.

Jack McCarthy, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, assists clients with complex litigation matters. Before joining the firm, McCarthy completed an externship with U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer G. Zipps, where he drafted judicial orders and contributed to updating the Court’s Handbook for Self-Represented Litigants. He received his J.D. from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, and his B.S. from the University of Minnesota.

Travis Reynolds, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, supports clients in a range of complex litigation matters. He gained hands-on experience at the Criminal Defense Clinic with the Tucson Public Defender’s Office and completed an internship with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. Reynolds also served for seven years as a corpsman in the U.S. Navy, primarily embedded with Marine infantry units. He received his J.D. from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, and his B.S. from Arizona State University.

Zaydee Stemmons, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, focuses on a wide range of complex litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on appellate law.

Before joining the firm, Stemmons gained valuable experience as an immigration intern at a Phoenix-based law firm. In this role, she researched legal concepts, prepared application documents, drafted legal memos and motions, and contributed to crafting legal arguments for court hearings. Stemmons also assisted on personal injury cases, drafting demand letters and gathering case details from clients. Stemmons received her J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2024 and her B.A. from Arizona State University.

Mackenzie Sullivan, a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group, focuses on trademark, copyright, licensing, and IP litigation. She assists clients with trademark registration, enforcement, and brand management, and supports licensing matters to help clients maximize their intellectual property assets.

Before joining the firm, Sullivan gained legal experience through internships and externships, including with the Nevada Supreme Court. She received her J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her B.S. from New York University.

Samantha Vanillo, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, supports clients with complex litigation matters from discovery through trial preparation.

Vanillo gained practical experience through clerkships with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and an externship with the Honorable Carli Kierny of Nevada’s Eighth Judicial District Court. She also served as a mediator with the UNLV Thomas and Mack Legal Clinic. Vanillo received her J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Nevada, Reno.
