Lewis Roca Welcomes New Lawyer to Intellectual Property Practice

LOS ANGELES (February 2, 2021) – Lewis Roca announced Alek Emery has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Emery focuses his practice on the preparation and prosecution of clients’ patent portfolios. With a background in physics and mathematics, Emery has the technical abilities needed to effectively prosecute patent applications in a variety of fields, including mechanical and software-based patents.

During law school, Emery was a judicial extern for the Honorable Kathleen M. O’Malley of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. He received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and his B.S. from the University of Utah.
