Lewis Roca Appoints New Office Managing Partner in Colorado

DENVER (February 14, 2022) – Lewis Roca has appointed Caitlin McHugh as the managing partner of its Colorado offices. The firm’s Denver and Colorado Springs offices consist of more than 60 litigation, intellectual property and business transactions lawyers who provide inventive ways to deliver counsel and execution of clients’ business strategies. McHugh succeeds Doug Tumminello who served in this role for the last three years.

In her new role, McHugh will continue to strengthen the firm’s long-standing commitment to clients doing business in and out of Colorado, as well as strengthening ties in the local communities in which the firm’s lawyers have lived and worked with for decades.

In addition to her role as managing partner of the firm’s Colorado offices, McHugh is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group focusing on complex civil and commercial litigation in federal court, state court, and arbitration. She represents clients in diverse industries including higher education, religious institutions, and healthcare. McHugh handles matters in all phases of litigation including pre-suit counseling, trial and appellate work, and alternative dispute resolution. She has also been recognized by Benchmark Litigation as a Labor & Employment Star in 2021 and named to the  Benchmark Litigation 40 & Under Hot List 2021. McHugh was also named one of The Best Lawyers in America^© Ones to Watch for 2022 and has been recognized as a Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of business litigation since 2018.

McHugh is a native of Colorado and received her J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Colorado Law School and her B.S., with Distinction, from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
