Benchmark Litigation Announces Lewis Roca Lawyers Named to 40 & Under Hot List 2018

Lewis Roca Denver partners Jessica Fuller and  Darren Lemieux and Tucson partner, Jeff Sklar, have been named to the 2018 Benchmark Litigation 40 & Under Hot List. Benchmark Litigation is one of the most prestigious legal guides which recognizes leading litigators in the United States.

Fuller, the co-practice group leader of the firm’s Litigation practice, has been honored with this prestigious recognition for the third consecutive year. This is the second consecutive year for Sklar and the first year for Lemieux.

Fuller has over 12 years of experience representing businesses in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters ranging from contract disputes to insurance coverage and bad faith actions. Additionally, as co-chair of the firm’s Class Action Group, Fuller has specific expertise in class action defense, including controlling class discovery, defeating class certification, and negotiating and ushering class action settlements through final approval.

Lemieux handles complex, high-stakes commercial litigation matters, representing clients in  business torts, contracts and partnership disputes, trade secrets, intellectual property and other commercial matters, including liquor law and franchise rights. He also advises clients in resolving disputes in pretrial mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences, as well as handling clients’ post-trial appeals. In addition to litigation, Lemieux practices in the area of health care, with more than a decade of experience representing hospitals in civil commitment cases, guardianship petitions, and other matters concerning mental health and healthcare issues.

Sklar has a wide-ranging litigation and appellate practice, including substantial experience in bankruptcy court. He regularly represents lenders in loan enforcement actions, businesses in commercial disputes and manufacturers in product liability cases. Sklar has handled matters in the state and federal courts of Arizona, California and Nevada, many times serving as lead counsel on behalf of his clients. He has also argued appeals in both the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals exemplifying Sklar’s excellent counsel and advocacy.

The 2018 Benchmark Litigation 40 & Under Hot List is compiled through peer review and case examination to identify practitioners deemed the most promising emerging talent in their respective communities.
