Eric is of counsel in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group. While his practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications, he also has experience in other aspects of Intellectual Property law, including experience with developing and implementing intellectual property strategies tailored to business needs of clients, with design patent matters, and with assignment of intellectual property rights. In his patent practice, he provides various aspects of client counseling including conducting searches, and providing analyses, opinions, and counseling to clients regarding patentability, infringement, validity, clearance, and due diligence.
Eric has helped clients in various technology and industry fields, including, but not limited to, telecommunications, electrical devices and systems, electronics, virtual reality (VR)/augmented reality (AR)/mixed reality (MR), software, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, blockchain, wearable devices, medical devices, medical diagnostics, mechanical devices and systems, optics, microtechnology, nanotechnology, and semiconductor technologies. He enjoys assisting his clients and their inventors in developing and protecting their ideas.
