Standout Intellectual Property Lawyer Greg Leibold Joins Lewis Roca in Denver

DENVER (June 14, 2021) – One of the Rocky Mountain region’s most prominent intellectual property lawyers has joined Lewis Roca in the firm’s Denver office. Greg Leibold brings more than two decades of professional experience in a diversity of roles that deepen his insights for clients, including stints as general counsel at two technology-focused companies.

“Greg’s intellectual property experience is unmatched in this region,” said Douglas Tumminello, managing partner of Lewis Roca’s Colorado offices. “In his career, he has accumulated insight that will be invaluable to both our lawyers and our clients.”

Leibold comes to Lewis Roca most recently from the Denver office of a national intellectual property law firm, where he served as the office managing partner for several years. There, he helped clients pursue, protect, and monetize innovations across a wide range of technologies. He has prosecuted patents and negotiated agreements relating to software, telecommunications, networking, automotive systems, sporting equipment, plumbing fixtures, and financial services systems, among other subject matter.

Previously, he spent six years as general counsel, first for an internet teleconferencing company and then for an enterprise software firm. Before entering law school, he served as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

In addition to his active practice prosecuting and licensing patents, Leibold also assists clients in patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation; validity and infringement opinions; and due diligence matters.

Leibold has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the area of patent law since 2015 and was named one of the IAM Strategy 300 Global Leaders in 2021. He received his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and English from Duke University.
