Lewis Roca Welcomes Esteemed Appellate Lawyer to Denver Office

DENVER (June 1, 2022) – Lewis Roca announced Kendra N. Beckwith has joined the firm as a Partner and member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

Beckwith is an accomplished appellate lawyer. Her practice focuses on matters involving professional liability, negligence and personal injury, employment, shareholder derivative suits, insurance law, real estate, natural resources, commercial litigation, class and collective actions, and any other appellate matters. She represents individuals, small businesses, insurance companies, and Fortune 500 companies and has briefed and argued nearly 60 cases in state and federal appellate courts nationwide.

Beckwith also has a robust amicus curiae practice and has experience with original jurisdiction and mandamus proceedings. She litigates cases for clients with emphasis in wage and hour, non-compete, breach of contract, agency actions, and health care. Beckwith serves as outside general counsel for a local nonprofit providing guidance on employment, contract, and strategic vision decisions. She also Chairs the Second Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance, is an appointed member of the Colorado Supreme Court Committee on Civil Jury Instructions, and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee and Appellate Sub-Committee.  

Beckwith was recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America for Appellate and Commercial Litigation in 2022 and in the area of Appellate since 2021. She has also been named one of 5280 Magazine’s Top Lawyers for Appellate since 2020. In addition, Colorado Super Lawyers has recognized Beckwith as a Rising Star since 2013 and recently named her a Colorado Super Lawyer in the area of appeals for 2022. She received her J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, and her B.S. from the University of Colorado.
