Lewis Roca Named Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year

LAS VEGAS (December 14, 2018) – Lewis Roca announced that the firm has been named Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year by the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. During the annual pro bono awards luncheon on December 7, 2018, Lewis Roca was recognized for its commitment to serving the community.

The recognition as Pro Bono Firm of the Year is awarded to the law firm that provides pro bono legal services to the members of the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada ensuring their access to justice.

“It is an honor to congratulate our colleagues who have been recognized individually for their outstanding efforts, as well as everyone in these Nevada offices who consistently maintain our culture of giving back to the community,” said Joel Henriod, office managing partner of the firm’s Las Vegas office.

Two of the firm’s attorneys, Dan Polsenberg and Abraham Smith, received the Award of Excellence for their commitment to the Nevada Supreme Court’s pro bono program which provides legal representation to unrepresented individuals before the court. The firm also received the Lied Award for the most hours donated by a law firm, equaling over 1,300 hours of time. Four of the firm’s attorneys were inducted into the 50 Hours Club and six attorneys were inducted into the 100 Hours Club!

The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to providing free community legal services to those in need. It has been providing free legal aid for Clark County's low income residents since 1958.
