Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie Promotes Six to Partnership

Phoenix, AZ, January 19, 2018 – Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP announced today the promotion of Trevor Bartel (Denver), Emily Charlesworth (Denver), Ian Fischer (Phoenix), Jamie Halavais (Phoenix), Georgia Hamann (Phoenix), and Matthew Park (Las Vegas) to partnership effective January 1, 2018.

“We are very pleased to elevate these six attorneys and welcome them to the firm’s partnership,” said Managing Partner Ken Van Winkle. “Each one of them has made tremendous contributions to our clients, our firm and our communities.”

Trevor Bartel

A member of the firm’s Litigation Practice group, Trevor Bartel practices complex corporate and business litigation, including breach of contract disputes, real property disputes, construction defect cases, mechanics liens and collection actions. He routinely represents lenders, property managers and other business clients in all facets of litigation with a particular emphasis on banking and real estate disputes.

He received a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, 2008, and a B.A. from the University of Colorado, 2003.

Emily Charlesworth

A member of the firm’s Business Transactions group, Emily Charlesworth is an experienced finance, leasing and real estate attorney representing lenders in secured lending transactions, loan syndications and loan participations. She routinely advises lenders in connection with construction and development financing for mixed use, commercial office, multifamily and low-income housing tax credit projects and in other asset based lending transactions.

She received a J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, 2006, and a B.S. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, 2001.

Ian Fischer

A member of the firm’s Litigation Practice group, Ian Fischer focuses his practice on complex litigation, including class actions and matters involving antitrust and business disputes, insurance coverage and bad faith claims. He also defends individuals, businesses and executives against criminal allegations before they have been charged through trial.

He received a J.D., summa cum laude, from Arizona State University - Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, 2008, and a B.A. from Beloit College, 1999.

Jamie Halavais

A member of the firm’s Litigation Practice group, Jamie Halavais focuses her practice on commercial litigation and class action defense, including matters involving antitrust, RICO, insurance defense and other complex commercial matters. She has over 10 years of litigation experience representing clients on cases in various state and federal courts in Arizona, California, New York and beyond, as well as before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). She also has extensive experience in electronic discovery and document retention practices.

She received a J.D. from the State University of New York, Buffalo Law School and a B.A. from University of California, Irvine.

Georgia Hamann

A member of the firm’s Litigation Practice group, Georgia Hamann primarily focuses on tort matters, including premises liability, negligence, products liability, wrongful death and serious injury torts. She also practices in the areas of employment defense and commercial litigation.

Georgia received a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2009.

Matthew Park

A member of the firm’s Litigation Practice group, Matthew Park’s practice includes representing a broad spectrum of business clients in contract and commercial business disputes, personal injury claims, product defect allegations, education law claims and employment disputes. He regularly appears in both state and federal court and routinely facilitates settlement negotiations.

He received a J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, a M.A. from the University of Southern California, and a B.A., Public Relations, Honors Program, from Brigham Young University.
