DENVER (July 27, 2021) – Lewis Roca announced two partners, Jessica Fuller and Caitlin McHugh, have been named to the Benchmark Litigation 40 & Under Hot List 2021. Benchmark Litigation is one of the most prestigious legal guides in the United States.

Fuller is a partner, former co-practice group leader of the Litigation Group, and current chair of the firm's Class Action Practice Group. She represents businesses, governmental entities, and religious institutions in a wide variety of complex matters, including class actions, contractual disputes, insurance matters, and private settlement programs. Fuller has extensive experience defending class actions and other high-exposure cases in federal and state courts across the country. She has successfully dismissed putative class actions before class discovery and defeated class certification in contested cases. She also has significant experience negotiating creative and favorable class action settlements, and ushering them through preliminary and final approval by the courts. In either the class action context or through private settlement programs, Fuller has administered numerous large-scale settlements to resolve significant exposure for her clients.

In addition to her substantial trial experience in state and federal courts, Fuller maintains a vibrant appellate practice and has authored over a dozen successful appellate briefs to the Colorado Court of Appeals, Colorado Supreme Court, Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also experienced in alternative dispute resolution, including representing her clients in arbitrations and mediations.

McHugh is also a partner in the Litigation Practice Group. Her practice focuses on complex civil and commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels. She advocates for her clients on diverse issues including business torts, contract disputes, and secondary liability for the actions of employees or agents. McHugh excels in cases with complex fact patterns or complicated damages models. She enjoys working with experts to find ways to translate difficult concepts to judges and juries.  She has successfully tried cases on both the plaintiff and defense side resulting in multimillion-dollar verdicts for her clients and secured complete defense verdicts.

McHugh is also committed to pro bono work to assist individuals and improve the legal profession. She has represented individuals in a wide variety of matters, including employment, immigration, and family law, and enjoys volunteering with various legal services organizations in her community.
