Lewis Roca Lawyer Elected as Glendale Bar Association President

LOS ANGELES (February 22, 2023) – Lewis Roca announced Steven J. French has been elected President of the Glendale Bar Association for fiscal year 2023. In this role, French will lead the Association’s goals of enhancing the practice and network of its members, providing timely and relevant continuing legal education courses and networking programs, and proudly serving the legal and lay communities of Glendale, Burbank and Pasadena.

French, an Associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, focuses on patent and trademark prosecution and litigation. He has experience representing clients in all stages of obtaining a patent, including drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international (PCT) patent applications, preparing foreign applications for filing in the United States, and managing international patent portfolios. With a background in physics and mathematics, French has a vast and well-rounded understanding of the technologies that influence and support his clients’ business ventures. He also assists clients with registering their trademarks to protect the reputation and goodwill of their businesses as well as assists in the litigation of patent and trademark matters.

French received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law, Order of the Coif, and served as Literary Citation Editor for the Pepperdine Law Review. During law school, he also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Barbara A. McAuliffe (U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California). He received his B.S.  summa cum laude, from California State University, Fresno.
