James R. Walker Given Colorado Bar Association's James E. Bye Lifetime Achievement Award

DENVER – Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie Tax Partner James R. Walker is the recipient of the Colorado Bar Association – Taxation Section’s James E. Bye Lifetime Achievement Award. The honor is given annually to an attorney who adheres to the highest principals and traditions of the legal profession and for distinguishing himself in service and dedication to the improvement of the Colorado Bar Association.

“I am thrilled to have received this honor among people who I consider colleagues and friends,” said Walker, a fifth-generation Coloradoan who has been with the Firm for more than two decades as a tax attorney.

Mr. Walker’s practice includes expert tax planning and taxpayer defense of federal and state tax positions and all aspects of wealth transfer planning. He has been a member of the CBA’s Taxation Section since 1999, having served as Chair from 2004-2005. He is also member of numerous other tax, accounting and law societies in Colorado and nationally.
