DOL Issues Additional FFCRA Guidance and Mandatory Poster for Employers' Use

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) was signed by President Trump on March 18, 2020, and it becomes effective on April 1, 2020. The FFCRA contains provisions for emergency paid sick leave and expanded family leave that are available for some employees affected by COVID-19.

The Department of Labor has issued additional Q&A guidance that answers many important questions about the implementation of the FFCRA. Here is a link to the new guidance:

The Department of Labor has also issued a poster describing employees’ rights under the FFCRA that must be posted by every private employer with less than 500 employees before April 1, 2020.
